Slkor ABS210 Bridge Rectifier: 1000V Withstand Voltage, 2A ABS Surface‑Mount Glass‑Passivated Bridge Rectifier

2026-10-10 120
ABS210 is a glass-passivated surface-mount bridge rectifier in the ABS201-ABS210 series. It adopts ABS molded plastic housing and is designed for surface-mount soldering process. At an ambient temperature of 25 °C, the device delivers an average rectified output current of 2 A with a reverse withstand voltage up to 1000 V. It features strong surge-current capability and operates within the temperature range from -55 °C to +150 °C. It works for resistive and inductive loads, while current derating is required for capacitive-load applications. It is widely used in various power-supply rectification circuits.

1. Core Product Parameters

  1. Package type: ABS surface-mount package with molded plastic body, flame retardant rating UL94V-0; solder-plated terminals; device weight 0.125 g.
  2. Rated average rectified output current: 2 A.
  3. Maximum peak reverse voltage: 1000 V.
  4. Maximum RMS voltage: 560 V.
  5. Operating and storage temperature range: -55 °C ~ +150 °C.
  6. Basic test condition: ambient temperature 25 °C, single-phase half-wave 60 Hz.
  7. Basic load requirement: resistive and inductive loads can be applied directly; 20 % current derating is required for capacitive loads.
  8. Mounting condition: mounting in any orientation is allowed.
  9. Reverse leakage current: maximum DC reverse current 5.0 μA at rated blocking voltage under 25 °C.

2. Key Product Features

  1. Glass-passivated chip junction for improved device reliability.
  2. Reverse-voltage range from 100 V to 1000 V. The series includes multiple voltage-rating variants, and ABS210 is the highest-voltage model of the series.
  3. High surge-current withstand capacity to handle 8.3 ms single half-sine-wave surge pulses.
  4. Specially designed for surface-mount applications and compatible with SMT assembly processes.
  5. Epoxy housing meets UL94V-0 flame-retardant standard for fire-safety performance.
  6. Plated leads comply with standard soldering specifications for good solderability.

3. Main Application Fields

  1. Secondary rectification circuits of switching power supplies.
  2. AC rectification circuits inside adapters and small-size chargers.
  3. Power-supply rectification units on household-appliance control boards.
  4. AC-DC rectification sections for compact industrial control modules.
  5. Power-input rectification circuits for various consumer-electronic devices.

4. Engineering Design Recommendations

  1. Temperature derating: Once case temperature exceeds 125 °C, the average rectified output current shall be derated continuously as temperature rises. No output current is available when case temperature reaches 150 °C.
  2. Load selection: Resistive and inductive loads can be designed at the rated 2 A current. Working current shall be reduced by 20 % for capacitive-load applications.
  3. PCB layout suggestion: Copper pad of 3.81 cm × 3.81 cm is recommended for soldering to ensure proper heat dissipation.
  4. Surge consideration: Circuit design shall take the number of non-repetitive surge events into account. Repeated surges will reduce the allowable surge-current magnitude.
  5. Temperature-dependent leakage current: Reverse leakage current increases significantly with junction temperature rise. Power loss caused by reverse leakage shall be considered under high-temperature operating conditions.
  6. No restriction on mounting orientation; layout can be arranged flexibly according to PCB space.

5. Product Summary

ABS210 is the high-withstand-voltage variant in the ABS series of surface-mount bridge rectifiers. It combines 1000 V reverse voltage with 2 A rated output current. The glass-passivated process ensures device stability, and its surface-mount package fits mass automated production. The device is sensitive to thermal conditions. Derating shall be implemented for high-temperature environments and capacitive-load scenarios. It fits medium-and-low-power AC-to-DC rectification applications and serves as a general-purpose surface-mount bridge rectifier for consumer electronics and small power-supply equipment.
