The Semiconductor Intelligence (SI) in the United States has released the provisional rankings of the top 15 semiconductor companies by sales for the first quarter of 2024 (January to March).

According to the financial report, NVIDIA ranked first with sales of $26 billion, showing an 18% increase compared to the previous period. This figure significantly exceeds the sales of the second-ranked Samsung Electronics at $17.4 billion, which experienced a 6.7% growth. However, it's important to note that NVIDIA's fiscal year ends one month later than other companies, so the $26 billion figure represents data from February to April 2024. The company anticipates further growth to $28 billion, a 7.5% increase, for the second quarter (May to July).

SI indicated that Intel secured the third spot, experiencing a 17% decline from the previous year to $12.7 billion, while Broadcom claimed the fourth position with $12 billion. However, Broadcom's first-quarter performance is slated to be announced in June and the reported figure pertains to the fourth quarter of 2023.
