On March 15, 2021, Liexin announced that it had received a strategic investment from JD Industrial Products and completed a Series C financing of nearly US$100 million. At the same time, it set a record for the largest single financing for a private enterprise in the B2B field of electronic components in China. Liexin.com, one of the largest trading platforms for electronic components in China, will join hands with JD Industrial Products to build a more comprehensive digital supply chain and intelligent manufacturing system for the electronics industry.  
In recent years, with the emergence of new technologies and new products such as new infrastructure, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, consumer electronics, medical electronics, and electric vehicles, the electronic components industry that makes up the "cells" of smart devices has experienced sustained high growth. China is the world's largest consumer of electronic components, accounting for more than 50% of total global purchases. Such "timing" and "geographical advantages" have jointly paved the long "runway" for China's electronic components industry.  
Chang Jiang, chairman of Liexin, said that compared with other B2B fields, because electronic components are affected by both supply and demand, production capacity and price fluctuate frequently. Distributors often need to have more comprehensive product and technical service capabilities or overall solution capabilities. It has become a consensus to digitally and intelligently transform the electronic supply chain.
