WSTS: Global semiconductor revenue exceeded USD 700 billion in the first half of 2026

International

  1. According to WSTS statistics, the global semiconductor market size reached USD 702 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 102%.
  2. SK Hynix will invest approximately 54.3 trillion won (about USD 38.4 billion) to build two wafer fabs in Yongin and Cheongju, South Korea.
  3. Honda Motor of Japan has for the first time outsourced the development of its core automotive platform to Tata Technologies of India.
